Hardcover text Backorder Update:

Sept 16: 24 copies of the 60 were received today. Hopefully the rest won't be too far behind (we're now guessing that second shipment was the one expected to ship today), but if you don't get a copy before the 24 copies sell out, we still have another 36 on order.

After selling 100 and ordering another 60 copies of the hardcover on Sept 1st, and expecting them within a week or two (in other words, by now), we learned today (14th) that those 60 copies are ‘expected to ship’ on the 16th. Unfortunately, ‘expected to ship’ isn't really the rock-solid committment we'd like, but that’s the best guess we have at this point, so at best, we’ll be seeing them late the next week. 

I had been advising students who wanted to hold out for one of those hardcover copies to use the free trial option for Modified Mastering Physiology to bridge them until the paper arrives, but with this new expected ship date, that trial may expire for some of you before the books arrive.  I've suggested to your instructor that the Pearson rep might be able to extend those trials until the paper books arrive, so I hope that might be an option.

Sorry for keeping your hopes up this last 10 days...
