Book Buyback is Back!

Have textbooks you no longer need? Bring them to the Dal Bookstore in Halifax or Truro between April 14 and 17 and see what they’re worth!

✅ How it works:

Bring in any used textbooks — no matter where you bought them — and have them scanned for pricing. If your book is being used in any upcoming Dalhousie courses, you could get up to 50% of the new price!

✅ Why it’s awesome:

  • Helps other students save money by giving them more used book options
  • Used books = no tax = more savings!
  • Reduces shipping costs and environmental impact

If we’re not buying your book for Dalhousie, we also work with MBS, our wholesale partner, who buys books for over North America. They can offer up to 30% of the original price, depending on demand.

🔹 Don’t forget your Student ID!
🔹 Debit ONLY.

Used Books
What is Book Buyback?

When you sell back your used textbooks, you can earn up to 50% back.  Bring in all books, no matter where they were purchased! Student ID required.

The Bookstore buys back textbooks that are being used for upcoming term at Dalhousie. The bookstore typically offers up to 50% of the retail price of the new book.   We do work with MBS, a wholesale partner who buys books for all over North America, and they base their prices on the demand for the book. If demand is high, prices will be higher.  MBS typically offers up to 30% of the retail price of the new book.
